This was one of the better chicken-and-gyro trucks I have tried. The portions are generous, and the rice is tasty. The chickpeas were very delicious, and the salad is the same as any halal-type truck (lettuce, cucumbers, and tomatoes [I asked for no onions] with tzatziki sauce). The meats were good, but nothing to write home about or over-the-top amazing. The staff was extremely friendly.
First time trying this truck. Quantity was huge. Amount of gyro meat was so much couldn't even eat the salad! Great meal!

Don't be fooled by their unassuming exterior. I have ordered from them many times and was happy to see them back at Union Station today. My sandwich was seriously huge but carefully wrapped so I could eat it without making a mess. The lamb was tasty and the chicken hot off the grill. They are also so nice every time I visit.

I tried this truck for the first time even though my instincts said to do otherwise. Usually when there is no one waiting at an establishment during peak lunch hour, I stay away. Although the food was pretty good (3.5/5), I took off stars for the obscene amount of cucumber sauce that they put over everything. The crazy thing is that I love sauce and I usually ask for extra. But this was ridiculous. I couldn't even enjoy the actual food because it was swimming in stuff, including the salad. To be fair, I could go back to this truck (maybe) and ask for the sauce on the side because the food wasn't bad. But, I don't know...maybe not. I would definitely not recommend the palak paneer. I'm not too familiar with this dish, so I gave it a try. The texture was like baby food, with big chunks of cottage cheese. I hated it.

I normally get gyro on rice from the DC Kabob truck, but they weren't there today so I tried something new. My meal looked just as delicious! Sadly, I found a white hair in it as I started eating (my hair is brown so I know it's not mine!). I didn't make a fuss and started to eat the other side (you may think I'm gross!) but I had to stop eating when I found ANOTHER white hair! The food tasted good, but that is unacceptable. Also, the lady serving me was not wearing gloves. I would not go back here. I can't sacrifice hygiene/cleanliness for taste. I am keeping my fingers crossed that I don't get sick.

This is a good, solid food truck but it isn't spectacular. The chickpeas are probably the best I've ever had. Small chickpeas in a spicy sauce. The lamb and chicken are good and the rice isn't just boring white rice that some kabob trucks sell. The combo also comes with a salad of iceberg lettuce, tomatoes, onions, and the standard white dressing. They give you lots of food. I couldn't finish it. I would say that this truck is much better than Zesty Kabob and slightly better than Tasty Kabob due to their superior chickpeas. They had butter chicken on special today. I hope to try that at some point.

The truck was really good overall, The Gyro was great and the Chicken was properly prepared as well. The rice was well seasoned and the serving size was perfect, not too much and not too little.
The salad was lacking and the side of ChickPeas were not to my taste.

So happy to find a vegetarian option for Fridays in Lent! The chickpeas over rice is comfort food at it's finest. It comes with a small salad (always fresh) and a generous portion of tasty chickpeas and basmati rice (red hot and yogurt sauces optional) and is a bargain for $6. Service is very prompt, gracious and friendly.

I ordered the chicken over rice. it was DELICIOUS! i am new to the west end. i just started working in december. i was told about the food trucks from a co-worker as an alternative to packing lunch every day. i'm not that familiar with the area, however, it's good to know that there are places where you can get a quality lunch for less than $10...especially in DC.
I was very pleased with the chicken over rice. it comes with a salad and the main dish. it was very good. i ate every bit of it. i would highly recommend this truck if you're in to gyros and other greek tastes. plus it's not that expensive!
