i had the beefy dog, topped with shredded beef (ropa vieja), black beans, and sweet plantain--it was AWESOME. the hot dog itself was very good quality and the shredded beef was delicious, and the beans and plantain made a great accent. i immediately told a coworker on his way out to lunch to head over there. the guys in the truck were very friendly and service was quick. will definitely return when they come back to union station!

Taste was on point, the shredded beef was outstanding, tender, juicy, well seasoned, the rest of the toppings were also fresh and complimented each other, the dog was boiled as expected for a Nathans hot dog. Downside, way too sloppy, needs to be served in a bowl with a knife and fork. The hot pressing bonds the parchment paper to the sweet bun so pieces tear off, they would be better served either not hot pressing or skipping the parchment paper and go with a tight foil wrap like a burrito.

All in all taste wins out over a sloppy meal, I will be back with a better plan of attack to eat the next meal.

Very glad to see you here at Patriots for the first time. I ordered one beefy and it was very good, lots of flavor and good value. It is a little hard to eat, and a bit messy, but it was delicious. Staff was super friendly, will certainly return.

The hot dogs were tasty and were still nice and hot by the time i got back to my desk.

After my trip to Brazil last year I have been struggling to cope with lack of Acai in the DC area. I was pleasantly surprised to find Mighty Dog and Acai and jumped on the opportunity to try them out when they came to Truckaroo. Not all did the Acai my expectations the dogs were great also!

Dogs were tasty! A bit messy but that can be expected from most places and having to eat in strange positions. The flavor of the pork was mild, I enjoyed it but sometimes prefer a stronger punch! The service was very good! My dogs came out slowly so the owners gave me 2 free bags of chips and 2 dollars off of my order! Was very cool and very tasty. Will definitely go back to try and beefy dog too!

I really liked this "hot dog." For those who might be turned off by the idea of a hot dog for lunch this sandwich is so much more than a hot dog. In fact, I liken the hot dog to bacon on a cheeseburger. The hot dog is a nice extra touch and very tasty but it is the sauce, dressings, bun and delicious pulled pork that make this a MightyDog! Please come around the Rockville area more!!! I def want another. Thanks DoggyDog

I tried this truck for the first time today and was not pleased with the food at all. I've visited quite a few trucks, love food, and know good food when I eat it. The bread was soggy, the hot dog was cold on the Brazilian, and there was no rice on the Braz. either.
I will not return - well perhaps I'll try the redbull drink- but other than that, I'll PASS!
Finally, I inquired about the price of buying a brownie a la carte and the gentleman said they were $3......so $3 for that, $1 for a water/soda, and $6/7 for a hot dog = $10/11 which after getting the meal which is $10, you haven't saved a penny! BTW- I split 2 hot dogs with someone else who was not pleased as well and couldnt believe the way the food looked compared to the pictures we saw posted. (I had to give a star so I gave one for the friendly staff.)

First and foremost, I thought my mom and grandmother make a mean pernil, but I was wrong.That pork was super yummy and reminded me of my Puerto Rican childhood, when we use to eat it for special Holidays and now I get to have it on a daily basis.I thought it was weird adding sweet potato to the mix, but it all went together great and it was Uber yummy! They pressed it which i think made it compact and easier to eat without it falling out of the bun considering it is a big hotdog sandwhich.It was uber yummy and that guy behind the window serving us was very attentive. That redbull drink is out of this of this world refreshing.

Mightydog and Acai offers unique, delicious food at a great value and with an incredible experience. The truck is a beautiful and inviting green with lively graphics and often music, and the owner greets everyone with an inviting smile like old friends.

The backbone of their dogs are a delicious, sweet bun and a big, juicy, meaty hot dog that would keep your father happy at the ball park. On top of that, they generously pile on all sorts of exotic and delicious Brazilian and Latin delicacies. Good ropa vieja is hard enough to find in DC, let a lone piled on an already delicious hot dog. Plantains, pico de gallo, and tons of other great stuff I don't even know the name for. The most picky foodie would be pleased.

And the acai? Out of this world. If all you know of acai is the name being slapped onto some sports drink, or some half frozen yogurt monstrosity at Smoothie King, you are missing out on this one. Not even the frozen packs of acai from Sambazon come close. This stuff is right up there with what you will get in Brazil. Fresh, authentic, pure ingredients. If you haven't had acai before, it tastes like a mix of mocha and blueberry, high in antioxidants, and they sweeten it with bananas, granola, and coconut. NOM.

If you have ANY room after all that (unlikely) they have take away deserts for the chocolate fan that will satisfy your sweet tooth.

All in all, this is a really unique food truck that will keep both your stomach and your wallet happy. There really is something for everyone here.
