I'm a huge fan of Posole and Mexican food generally, and have learned to be disappointed with Mexican food in DC. This is no exception. First and foremost, they aren't serving Posole, they are serving chicken tortilla soup with hominy. The switched out the pork for chicken (which I've seen before as a nod to modern eating habits), but there were easily as much tortilla as hominy, if not more. That aside, it wasn't bad, but it wasn't great. The broth was flat. Tossing in both sauces liven the broth which was fascinating given that they weren't bright on their own. The chicken was fine, if a little chewy. It was cold and windy, so it hit the spot, but not really Posole.
