I am an unapogetic carnivore who just wolfed down two great sweet corn fritters and a fresh chick pea salad. The fritters had good body, could have been a little less dense but the sweetness of the corn came shining through. They were topped with a bright green sauce that at first glance was off-putting but when that vibrant lime taste, just perfectly balanced with the sweet corn, I almost forgot I wasn't going to have meat today. The chick peas were perfectly aldente little dices of cucumber thrown in with a hint of dill reminiscent of a tzasiki (sp?) sauce was just seasoned just right. I usually add salt and pepper to everything but this was spot on. Thanks for making a rare vegetarian adventure a good one.

I am not a lover of veggie burgers since most are a poor substitute for its meaty sibling (which I count among my favorite foods), and $11 seemed kind of expensive for a meatless lunch. But on a whim I decided to give this veggie burger a try and let me tell you, it rocked. I know the base is quinoa mixed with some kind of beans, saw some carrots go by, the rest is a delicious mystery. It was incredibly flavorful; it fell apart a bit, but I scooped it up gladly. The bun was very thick, covered with sunflower seeds with a nice taste. There were tomatoes, lettuce and avocado as well. I loved the lime-jalapeno aioli sauce, and thought the barbecue sauce was good too, but not as much as the aioli sauce. Excellent all around!

I normally really enjoy what I get from Cirque Cuisine but today was a dud. The Vietnamese lettuce wraps, which is a new dish, had grilled pork, radish, rice, carrots, noodles, and mint with a peanut dipping sauce. The first problem was that it was impossible to eat. When I normally get wraps, the lettuce will support the filling but not in this case. It just made a big mess. More importantly, the dish was super bland. The pork had no flavor, as did the rest of the ingredients. The peanut sauce gave it some flavor (until it ran out since not enough) and I upped the taste with some hot sauce. Disappointing meal esp. at $11. I will not abandon this truck since most dishes are good. Need to fix or lose this dish.

The veggie burger was obviously made with fresh ingredients and was pretty tasty, if was a little burned. The condiments could have had more kick. Also unfortunately it doesn't travel well back to the office and was kind of steamed and falling apart by the time I got to my desk; difficult to eat.

At first I was a little dismayed that my total was more than my usual lunch order but this meal was definitely worth the extra dollars. While many food trucks are delicious in their own rights and prepare great tasting ethnic foods, Cirque's flavors were more refined and the quality of ingredients was fantastic. I will definitely be returning if they make more appearances at Farragut!

I ate what was recommended as a matter of consequence as, what I really wanted, the Quinoa Veggie Burger was "Out"-- This must mean that it's yummy and you guys should prepare More swordfish so that you are not "out" next time you come to Franklin Sq.! The swordfish was scrumptuous! I thoroughly enjoyed what came with it, albeit pricey. I'd order it again on a splurge day 🙂 Come to Franklin Square more often--We need alternative haelthy choices from food trucks and yours is a great option!
