I was hoping to love this, but the pulled chicken sandwich I just had was rubbery and full of skin and gristle. The portion was the smallest I've seen for a pulled chicken sandwich but that didn't matter since I didn't eat much of it anyway. The cole slaw was enjoyable.

The pork is always moist and fork tender. The sandwich portion is huge - it's hard to pick up with both hands. And they always include the some of the bark. Yes, it could be a little smokier, and the sauce could be better incorporated throughout. However, it's a very good barbecue sandwich, especially for the price.

I thought I would try something new....guess I should have went someplace else. I couldn't even finish my food it was that bad. The chicken and their form of BBQ sauce just did not taste right. Will not be going to you guys again.

It was a cold day so a bowl of chili shounded like a good idea. The chili had decent flavor; it was made with ground beef, beans, onions, green peppers and seasonings but it had a slightly sweet "sloppy joe-ish" taste to it. Besides the surprise of the sweetness I was really disappoointed by the portion size. For the $4 I paid I expected a small bowl typical of the size other vendors use (including restaurants). This ridiculously small container was less than half the size it should have been for the cost. Not happy.
Response: Kyle\'s note: I upped the rating to 2 stars because the reviewer did like some aspects of the meal

There is a simple reason for my reaction...they do NOT know BBQ!
Chicken--Super DRY, DRY, DRY! Very difficult to swallow, literally too dry to swallow!
Brisket--absolutely one of the worst ever...they don't get the concept. It was sliced like a roast...and worse had the texture of an over cooked roast...dry and lacked any BBQ flavor.
The pulled pork was the bright spot and it was barely adequately...again DRY...imagine dry pulled pork...who could screw that up? Rocklands!
If you like this food, you do NOT like BBQ!

Wonderful flavor in the pork sandwich, and a huge portion! The cole slaw was not too mayonaisy (is there a word?) and a nice crunch. The corn bread was to die for (and I'm not normally a corn bread fan). Cost was $10 including tax. I will be back!
Pit beef was moist and tender, good portions, mac & cheese and coleslaw were homemade and flavorful. Overall friendly truck and great Q.

$11 - got me a chopped pork sandwich, collards, baked beans, cornbread and a sanpellegrino. Portions were pretty decent if not huge, food was excellent, price (for downtown DC) was excellent... I'm just wondering can I get the same deal in the restaurant by my house? haha THANKS ROCKLANDS! We will be back
The portions were very nice and the food was excellent. I love BBW and I must say, this will be my new best food truck. Great price, Great quality.<
